They're excellent. I use mine primarily because my pops is going deaf and blasts the tv in the entertainment room. I can barely hear a thing without even turning the music on. And the bass is surprising for earbuds.
        Jah bless! :pimp:

Phillips Noise cancelling ear buds. I bought these a couple years ago and absolutely love them for trips.I highly recommend these for anyone who doesn't want to look like a dork. The bass is okay, I listen to radiohead not Benny Banassi LAWL.

and these of course when I'm on my computer on campus.

              Because I'm such a hipster :D.

I got a pair of AKG k518DJ a few months back. I really like them a lot. Sound is awesome and they are small enough to travel with even with the closed style (I cant stand IEMs). Really cuts down on outside noise on planes and they are pretty comfy.

I love my beyerdynamic dt-770s. They're the 80ohm model that I have running off an amp. Lovely sound with the perfect amount of bass.

In public, to the public, you are a dork. I get it you edit music or want to listen to music really loud in an apartment or something, but in public you look like a toolbag.

No dude, and v6s arent that big. If you worry about looking like a dork, youll come across as one. Im not worried. Don't need to impress anyone anyway.

Edit: on a related note, when the v6s are to big or bulky for where im going i use these Maximos:

But i have no problem with V6s in study areas, library, coffee shops, etc

I'm saving for a set of Sennheiser HD650s, but here's what I have now:

Sony MDR-7506. I've had these for over 8 years now, and they still work great. I think they were $150 or so then, they're $90 or so now. Amazing headphones for the price IMO. Very similar to the MDR-V6s.

Shure SE530 IEMs. These things....are amazing WITH an amp. Very underwhelming otherwise. They have triple drivers per ear, two woofers and a tweeter. Great little headphones, but astoundingly expensive new. Used prices FTMFW. Also, they have a noise attenuation of something like -30dB depending on what foam earpiece you use.

Headroom Portable Micro Amp, mine has the DAC option. Expensive but it's a battery powered amp I can take with me to work and plug into either my ipod or via USB/optical my computer there. Astonishingly good battery life and amazing sound quality. For a sense of size, those are 1/8" jacks on the front, and it's all of 3.75" wide. Not pocket portable, but I don't listen to music on the go so it's perfect for my needs. Also has preamp out.

....I'm an audio nut and a car nut, I'm broke as hell.

^ Awesome stuff man, how does the amp affect the sonys? Since i have almost the same headphone. I actually bumped my order from the fiio e3 to e5 amp. Still, pretty small entry level stuff, but i wanna see how it changes the sound.

Anyone on head-fi.org? Granted i have all of 4 posts and dont go on much

I rock earbuds unless im at home, and just got a pair of klipsch S4. For 85 bucks, they are the best buds ive ever heard and far better even than some in the $200 range

Recently been getting more into 5.1 phones, current favorite is the TRITTON 5.1 Pro. Uses 3.5mm jacks so it's easily adjustable. Fairly impressed with them using realtek alc889. For $65 I'm glad I tried them, but still wary about the longevity based on reviews.

Had logitech g35 before and returned due to hardware issues with them, though they were nicely built and once the minor issues are fixed they will be nice. No individual speaker adjustment and a high pitched tone when using the mic was enough to ditch them.
