Might be a repost but Windows 7 ?

Worth upgrading to it? Or are you still finding bugs with it? Apple seems to backed off their attack ads they used on Vista system.

I have been tempted to convert to MAC but don't want to learn a new operating system at this time.

    Opinions.

Most people who had issues with Vista also didn't have enough memory. Windows 7 does run better however, and the user interface is improved in my opinion. If you take advantage of google you will find that many people consider Windows 7 to be a worthy upgrade.

Mac systems are way too overpriced.

I will always use Windows. I use Vista 64-bit now and have no issues with it. I do have a free upgrade to Windows 7 but I don't feel like it is worth it right now, when my system works great and I enjoy it.

Been on 7 for a few months. Boots fast and is stable. Love the interface. Love it in general.

I had issues with my Vista HP crapbook. It was not due to memory, It was other issues. I should have just bought another Toshiba. Mine is working now but that was after it went back twice to HP.

Well, after being on xp for a little more than 6 years. I have to say windows 7 isn't half bad. I DON'T particularly like it. But it'll do. Make sure you have some ram though, while at desktop in xp with 36 processes running I was using a bit over 350 mb's of my 2 gig's. Now on 7 with the same amount of procs running I am using a tad over a gig.

Mac isn't so much about learning a new OS as it is about paying way too much for an over simplified OS. It is far more fluid than Windows (Vista or 7) but having owned both I still prefer the customization of Windows better. 7 is better than Vista, hands down, on every aspect of the OS.

As someone who works with both systems on a daily basis, I can say it's definitely worth the upgrade.

It's absolutely not worth the upgrade. If you are doing it for nothing other then to stay with the times, keep xp. If anything you'll get headaches from running into driver issues.

I Dissagree, I haven't come across one thing yet that has had a driver compatability problem yet. The only driver I've installed on it is my video card driver because I wanted the ATI one not the Generic one.:D

If you're running old hardware you will. I have a soundblaster 5.1 card from like 2001. They stopped supporting it way before vista or 7 came out. The only thing you gotta do is turn off the stupid ass only signed drivers bullshit when you boot up. Still couldn't get it to work. Kinda pissed me off cause I love that soundcard.

Second this. I hosed my Vista install on my laptop trying to clear up space - so I installed Windows 7. All drivers were good as soon as I was in. Love 7!

I'm still an XP guy, but my girlfriend defected and bought a macbook. Part of the deal was I got her old vista laptop which I use on the couch to distract myself from the shitty tv she watches. The vista laptop has a free windows 7 upgrade, and I just got the cd today. I can say that I dislike vista, it causes me much more agita over xp. I'm hoping 7 cures that.

Well to me, 7, is like a mac... It does everything for you and if you don't go in and shut some of the bullshit nanny crap off it gets real annoying.
