The R32 GT-R is still a fair bit lighter than the Z32 and its where it is lighter that makes the difference (more weight lower down in the middle of the car, lighter body panels,)
The later Skylines have a lot more equipment and go a lot faster than the Zed. For what is meant to be a RWD sports car it is heavy and full of crap you don't need.
The car might look low but there is a lot of crap that you have to remove (which you shouldn't) to get the weight down. Removing the T-tops is great... what about in winter or in the rain? That 20lbs is exactly what I'm talking about - a simple thin sheet of metal would have been a far better choice for a fucking sports car!
I've driven stock and modded examples and I definitely wouldn't call the stock suspension "decent". Nowhere near it, in fact! Over-servo-assisted steering, rolls and pitches too much when shifting weight, brakes aren't great, too small a tyre contact patch, definitely needs a good LSD fitted...
4) Keep up with the 60k tuneup and purchase a high performance radiator, like I did, and you shouldn't ever have an overheating problem. Unless you track your car on a regular basis, in which case a larger oil cooler and a different oil cooler regulator valve setup is a good investment.[/quote]
