Don't be a n00b. Global warming refers to an average change in the earth's temperature which has been happening gradually over the last 30 years. Just because NC has a bad winter doesn't mean that global warming doesn't exist.
And don't try to tell me it doesn't exist. It does. Even George Bush agnowledged it.
The big debate is whether or not people are the cause of global warming. And unfortunately, no one knows for sure, because there are scientists who have conducted convincing studies on both sides of this debate. -

It was fine, dry and 35degC here today.
Beautiful summer's day. Lovely. :)Leave a comment:

our snow is GONE... to replace it we had 50mph winds ripping trees out of saturated soil knocking power out...
I miss snow...Leave a comment:

So true! So true, but the fatal flaw in your logic is their gigantic 4x4 trucks and SUVs don't stop or take icy corners so well. I drove past two full size pickups off the road on my way home from work tonight a Dodge and Chevy. The traffic was light or there probably would have been more than that. I didn't leave work until about eight just so I could avoid most of idiots and I still got tailgated at about thirty in a forty. I was glad when the idiot finally turned off.Leave a comment:

you'd think they'd all be right at home with their gigantic 4x4 trucks and SUVs :pLuke,
Please bring a big Uhaul to Texas and take your snow snow back to the PNW. We've had twelve inches here today and it's still snowing. I'm not originally from Texas so I can speak with authority when I say these idiots can't drive in the rain much less on twelve inches of snow. Fortunately most of it didn't stick to the roads but there is still enough on the roads to cause a lot of problems in the morning.
On a side note the e30 does supprisingly well in the mess. This is my first winter driving an e30 and the second time I've driven on bad roads and I've been impressed.

Damn its hitten hard. In the past 20 min the roads have gone from perfect, to wat looks like about a half inch. And its just starting. I see the state shutting down over this one. I'm on a quick dip to grab a quater and I've sliden through every stop light/sign. Kinda funny watching the abs light blink a million times a second as the tires lock up tho. Anyway I should stop r3v chatting and focus on the road. Just a quick update. Oh and yes tomorrow will surly be a great day for city shreading :)Leave a comment:

please, please, please do not start a political debate in a thread that is already been hijacked by a global warming debate.Lee is owned by far more, than just sarcasm, but it's good to have him pointing out just how ridiculous his side of the debate is sometimes.
No one says polluting for the sake of polluting is alright... I am a big supporter of the Cap and Trade, but not for environmental reasons. Cows, landfills and Atlantic Ocean produce most of the Methane gas that is dumped right into atmosphere.
I also don't understand political point of view on this subject. Conservatives seem to be against conservation and liberals want more regulation, which in fact is less liberating. In republican scenario, they're against creating 10 million instant jobs, and to make US lead internationally to increase world's needs for our services, thereby racking in major MONEY.
Then democrats want to increase taxes by percentage, but cap off spending. They want decrease profit margin and collect more... Then they'll hire millions of governmental employees. Can't really preach environmental conservationism by introducing bureaucratic process.
Oh and that is full of shit.^^^Leave a comment:
