We got very limited quantities of snow in the North this winter, while Virginia's got hit with 24" of the white stuff in a day... Hmmm. Life's good. But last winter was a snow storm every other week.

and yes, Eagle F1 tires in 225 and 245 sizes suck in snow... and rain... and any time there isn't good dry pavement.
About 30 min away from milwaukee.

They do make F1 All seasons, and those seem to work quite well in the snow.

I hate driving in snow. I'm glad I have a FWD Camry with newish Michelin MXV4's...

cuz my e30 has summer tires. That don't grip snow

    At all
That's still no excuse for FWD. AWD maybe. Heck, left foot braking works with 4WD, but I just can't stand FWD.
    Buy another set of wheels.

Heck, even ice racing is better with RWD. I got a ride in a 175 sharpened bolt per tire miata on saturday.
Nothing like doing 60mph + and then flooring it into a corner on ice. I had a smile on my face akin that of a kid being dropped off at school by superman.

They're worth every penny. They also work great for mud/dirt rallycrossing, so you don't have to let them rot waiting for snow.

    we have a winner!!!!!

this is why the PNW is warmer, and the southeastern states are colder and wetter. shift in weather patterns.
also, this is why peru is having some horrific flooding.
