spending more than wat people in ethiopia make in a year on a watch is retarded. there is no reason for any one to spend 2300 dollars on two items that you can fit in your pocket. 200 is a good goal. it can be done hit up overstock.com and amazon you can find much classier, higher quality, than a movado for well under that boundary.Comment

Good hammis can be found for about the same price as a luminox at MSRP. Ebay is one hell of a good source for Gray market watches.

A 200 dollar watch will do just fine. I travel internationally to some less than superb places and having a 1000 dollar piece of jewelry on my arm is simply a bad idea. The whole reason I became interested in getting a watch is because my cell phone(aka my current watch) doesn't travel with me.
I'm not deeply passionate about watches(yet...I said the same thing about knives) but do appreciate them. That said, I just want something that looks nice and suits my style that doesn't break the bank. Entry level you might say.
I'm sure movados are fine watches but they just don't suit my style and definately don't fit my budget.sigpic

Not to really toot my own horn, but I really like my Invicta... After some digging I found it's like a $315 watch or something, but everywhere has em on sale for like $90.... I mean, I dunno what that means, or what... I like it, Invicta has gotten some praise in this thread. It's durable, feels good, looks good. I think it'd be a nice addition to your wrist

I don't know what's going on between Leaf and mrsleeve ... but I think we can all agree that Movado is basically junk.
If it weren't for suburban shopping malls, they would have gone bankrupt years ago.sigpic
