Let me get this straight... You're a canadian with the American mindset that you need an SUV to satisfy the testosterone to "ball". You see this sort of statement makes me think you're simply fallen prey to the MTV generation. The MTV generation is obsessed with the "ballin" lifestyle. See in a rap video when you're "ballin" you have to be mobbin' at least 4 deep, ( You can mob at least 5 in an SUV) of course when one's crew is larger, it is seen as he has more money because they are all on his payroll.
I quote thee:
They all might not be bodygaurds but they appear to have that tough look in order to scare away other "ballers". The simple larger/more feathers on a peacock stategy, also works to try to select a mate. Of course we all know "ballers" don't really mate in the same way a peacock or penguin mates. They are out the door faster than you can say, "Yo MTV Raps."
Or maybe I'm simply reading into this too far, and you should just ask yourself one question. Do you feel lucky? Do ya? Or do you really need an SUV?
And, yes.
end thread!
I subscribe to this line of reasoning, hence I own a Nissan Xtrail But I'm not really of an MTV generation either...

I was told that when you mob, and need to describe the size of your crew, you do not consider yourself in the count. So, unless you are pulling a utility trailer with a few people in the back, a riding lawnmower has zero mobbing capacity. Likewise, a McLaren F1 has the ability to mob two deep.
An E30 can legally mob up to four deep. In order to mob legally, you must supply a DOT approved passenger restraint system for each member of your mob. In an E30, that is three shoulder belts and a lap belt. You may increase the depth of your mob if you buy a touring, but the passengers in the cargo area will not be legally mobbing.

Srt8 has the ground clearance of an e30 which is fucking stupid for being in the snow, the trailblazer has indestructible ls2 v8 and has saab suv parts on it so the parts prices shouldnt be too bad.
I dunno - never been a huge fan of the SUV genre, but I know they can have their practical/functional roles too. If it were me, I'd buy on the principle of how much it can...
haul/tow & how "soft-road" capable (not really into 4-wheeling)
Something diesel would be awesome, but we don't have a ton of choices for those (X5, Touareg, etc).
