Im trying to invent a way everyday... Ill start a thread on this later.

Basicaly I am above the knee amputee on my right leg. I control the gas just fine with this leg. But I am driving with my left leg doing both pedals for now. My biggest problem is that I wont be able to do gas and brake with my right leg, I just dont have that kind of control... and I dont think I can even push hard enough with my fake leg to do the brake. So I have to figure out a way to heel toe the brake/clutch with my left foot. And there is alot of hills around here, so I have to get really good at it.

On another note, how far is the clutch travel on an E30, if it's relatively shirt, I think I can pull it off. And yes I will have a clutchstop.

No, it's still 16.. but I think if you screw up big time with your permit you have to wait until 18. Dont quote me on this.

no you can get one at 16, but theres some rules that nobody follows that you have to obey until you are 18.

ps dont do this to your first car

although if you have diving boards it really doesnt matter. i didnt have the front valence on at the time and you couldnt even tell that the car had been ditched. loved that car.

^ Yeah the whole restricted license thing. I think it's a good idea, but I agree nobody follows it.

So any ideas to drive a stick? Or how to mount the clutch (or brake) on the steering wheel?

nearly everyone does that to their first car. the lesson is to not drive a nice car as your first one.

For starting on a hill, use the parking brake to hold you (keep your hand on the parking brake holding the button in). Give it some gas and ease the clutch; as soon as you feel the car start to pull (forward) on the parking brake start driving as normal.

Alright then. This is probably the route I am going to take. But I will for sure learn on an automatic though.
