Dang it you I beat me! 125 in a 65. I ended up in jail, with a $4500 ticket I have three years to pay off. Never running again. Ever.

My largest speeding ticket is 101 in a 65. Fine was $497

      Story:
Driving to Vegas in a friend's Honduh CRV. It was 2am and we were in the middle of the Mojave desert (Hwy 58 ). I was doing approximately 85-90mph. Out of nowhere, my V1 went crazy picking up Ka and a second later, a CHP drove past me going the other direction. The cop pulled a u-turn through the dirt shoulder and pulled up behind me. I had already slowed down to 65mph, so after following me for a few seconds, the cop pulls me over. It's a lady cop who pulls me over and she then writes me up for 101mph, which is complete bullshit.

I get my courtesy notice in the mail, and see that it is a "mandatory court appearance", so I decide to plan another Vegas trip and then stop in court on the way back from Vegas. The judge tells me the fine is $497 and he was not willing to reduce the fine, or reduce the citation to a regular speeding ticket. I paid the fine and pled not guilty by "trial by written declaration".

Now, I just need to wait and see if I win or lose. If I lose the trial by written declaration, I'll then fight it again in court using the "trial de nuvo".

90 in a 70... stupid 101 2 hours south of San Jose. Going LA->SF, met up with a bunch of e46 guys in SLO who were returning from Bimmerfest. That made us conspicuous, and as a result a whole bunch of us got pulled, because the dicks up front were doing crazy shit.

At least they didn't write us up for the actual speed we were going :d

June 30th 2010. Brunswick county, NC. 85 in a 55. On the way back from the beach with my girlfriend, brother, and his girlfriend. I was in the e23, which has no cruise control. The limit dropped from 60 to 55. No way I was doing any more than 8 over at the drop. Got 30 over and wreckless endangerment. Cop said nothing about clocking me with radar or laser, didn't explain the ticket or have me sign it. Hiring a lawyer to fight it.

When I was 17 I was doing about 80 down a long straight empty road at midnight that ran right next to 101, turns out the speed limit was 25 and technically it was a residential zone. He let me go with a warning, no joke.

A couple of 18mph over, both of those were over 10 years ago.

Latest was a 98 in a 75, running late for an interview. Turned down the job later after a pathetic salary offer. That was approx 3 years ago.

I rarely speed anymore, I like having cheap insurance too much.

I got a speeding ticket in January for 73 in a 55, but was not clocked, the cop just estimated it(wrong).

I got a 3 month extension and chose to fight it with trial by written declaration. I literally wrote one sentence stating that I was not guilty and questioned the cop's estimation and I just got an envelope the other day saying that I was found not guilty!

I have no idea how I won, I'm guessing he was either too busy or couldn't remember enough to write his statement. Anyways, I'm stoked to be getting $470 back!

Riding my old 250cc yamaha Virago got done 110 in an 80, $270 and lost licence for 3 months (was on my provisional licence which only has 4 points, 30km's over and its auto 4 points)

Got my car licence, Toyota Hilux 4x4 got done 75 in 60 (cop giving me the actual ticket was a hot chick, and after explaining I was on my way to an amusement park with my gf she let me off with 1 point loss and $50, rather than the 3 points =D she said she loved theme parks)

Same car, got flashed 85 in 70, got a letter in the mail saying the cam was faulty so couldnt be counted as legit...I was totally speeding though haha.

E30 - another 110 in 80, I passed the cop and saw him pull over so I booted it, my gf started screaming to pull over (i could have got away as he was stuck turning around) eventually pulled over and $270 + 4 points (on my full licence so have 12points to burn)

have not had one in a very very long time. Closest thing I have had was back in 08, was heading to a job out east, was still in MT had just left the house about 2 hours earlier was between Browning and Cut bank on Hwy 2 running just off the limiter in the truck 95-96 (limiter is stock 98) in a 70, passed a state trooper going the other way and he just waved to me and kept going the other way.

This was on a sunday morning too at about 8am.
