      Anybody seen this? Pretty nice.
Unless you've been living in a cave with your eyes shut and your fingers in your ears, you're familiar with Steve McQueen's "The Great Escape". If you're familiar with "The Great Escape", you're familiar with Steve's transport du jour, the motorcycle. Ergo, you're familiar with this motorcycle. Modeled after the motorcycle Steve rode in that |

Yeah thats why motorcycle death rates are so high, people who do stupid things instead of paying attention and riding within the limits of the road around them.

and don't get me wrong, i try as hard as i can not to lump all riders into that group, but on the freeway there's no way to tell until it's too late.

also my first E30 was totalled by a motorcycle coming into my lane on a mountain road. after that another crotchrocket douchebag told me i should pay better attention for motorcycles. when i told him he was in my lane, he responded "i don't care, you need to be more careful"

Seeing what happens in a bike crash first hand is what lead me to buy full leathers, and start getting my bike track prepped. Crazy shit happens on the street, and its just not fun to ride a crotch rocket at a speed that isn't absurdly fast. I want to get myself a v-twin like one of those BMW F800r I think they're called. They like like a damn blast to ride street wise

I think a lot of guys with sporty bikes tend to do stupid things when they are riding with their friends. Still, there are the squids and there are the guys who take safety seriously. The guy riding the wheelie was wearing full gear (looks like armor under his jeans too) and looks like he knows what he's doing! Riding in a T-shirt though... not in a million years. If I go down, I want to at least have a chance at coming out of it without needing skin grafts.

Yeah, I'm all over the freeways of Hawaii ;) The road around me was totally empty, not sure what the limits of them were, but that's subjective. I could spend a long time trying to defend myself but I'll just say that I do the things I enjoy, as safe as I can feasibly perform them. This includes wheelies and going through turns quickly, usually doesn't include much other traffic but that's out of my control.

Boots are Sidi Vertigo's, yes I have pads underneath the jeans (good eye). As far as knowing what I'm doing, I try to tell myself that I do :P
