I have an eGear S-2 flashlight. Eats AA batteries, 3W LED (you can figure out the battery life right there, lol). I use NiMH batteries, so I don't care about consumption. If I run out, everyone and their mother sells AA batteries.

So I've had my maglite for years and its never let me down. And its cheaper than the surefire. So what gives? Buy a fucking maglite. If you don't like it I'll buy it off of you.

mrsleeve you post a picture of a flashlight that spells it "Surefire" yet you keep spelling it "Shurefire" lolMa che cazzo state dicendo? :|Comment

$23.99 for both. I'll prob buy the LED bulb upgrade kit or whatever for both as well. For what I'm looking for, I don't think it gets any better.

 batteries included.

you can buy maglites that are already LED. probably around the same price as the light + LED upgrade, and designed for LED use.

Ditto. I think I have the Stinger LED, shit is ridiculous. I can use it as a spotlight and see damn near all the way up my street. Got it while working at Firestone and it's one of the things I still use almost daily. Love it.I'm a Streamlight guy. I have a large Stinger (Too pricey for your request), and then carry a Streamlight StylusPRO(too small for your request) in my pocket for day to day use.

$25 ain't enough price for a good flashilght thread, so I'll leave this here.

Slightly more than $25, though. ;)Matt

yes, I know. I said I'd prob, but honestly, there's light coming out of those fuckers so I think I'll end up just settling. I'm not planning on going on a mission but still enjoyed the lumens pissing contest.

Seriously, some of you guys paid too much for a flashlight but I can understand. Those are cool. Comment

When you've had "quality" flashlights stop working after dropping them 3 feet, you tend to shy away from cheap crap.

I have 2 or 3 Maglites that don't work anymore after dropping them from about waist level onto concrete. And I've tried the cheap crap from Walmart and camping stores, those have absolutely horrible output.

 Good shit aint cheap.Matt

FWIW, if you're just looking for a light to use when you're working on your car, i recommend this http://www.walmart.com/ip/Bayco-61-L...Light/14003474

I have one of those and it's smaller brother, they're great for wrenching in low light, or when you're under the car.

Ditto but a maglight with led's in it is very decent for the price. Streamlight is nice for the added voltage.I'm a Streamlight guy. I have a large Stinger (Too pricey for your request), and then carry a Streamlight StylusPRO(too small for your request) in my pocket for day to day use.

I remember going through this paranoia when buying my cell phone, and the last, and the last. Damned thing is, I dropped most of them. Must have been lucky. Comment

If your "quality" flashlight breaks after a 3ft drop it ain't quality.
