Reasons not to buy an E90-

    Go...

Also reasons one should. Anyone here own one? If I buy one off warranty I don't want to be stuck with a money pit. Currently looking for one with under 50,000 miles, 6 speed, NA, Sport Package.

The 335i have fuel pump issues.

Not really, they have high pressure pump issues.

Actually, the N52 is pretty bulletproof...

People will think of you as a dick if you ever drove spirited in it. I know my friends and I do. Just something about it is telling me its about on the tipping point of being a 5 series for how huge it is. But sleek looking car indeed.

E92's are better. I suggest this.

Also won't be getting a 335. I feel turbo cars need to be bought new and broken in properly. Letting the car warm up properly before WoT and allowing the car to idle before shut down probably didn't happen to most 335s. BMW's 15,000 mile oil change service is stupid but its near retarded for a turbo car. Sure I would love a E92 or a Z4 3.0si Coupe but the market value is still too high for my budget and the ones in my price range are shit.

@ DozyProductions I haven't drove an E90 in a while but they are fun to take around the corners. If you've drove one you would understand. I think the thing is most E90 owners probably are dicks that drive like assholes. I don't drive like an asshole.

E90s are actually stiffer than E92s, I believe (E92 has longer doors than the E90, moving the B-pillar farther back)

Most modern BMWs come up to temp pretty fast. N54's main problems are: HDP (high pressure pumps), software, and turbo wastegates. Occasionally the vacuum lines might become brittle and cause a headache, but thats an easy fix.

I would suggest an E90/E92 with an N52k (known by the plastic valve cover) with the biggest/longest warranty you can get. Maintenance/CPO would be good.

A friend of mine just bought an E92/n52k/6 speed with 54k miles and there really isnt too much that goes wrong with the cars. The less options the better, basically.
