Seizing the cars will achieve nothing. In 15 days they will buy/borrow another one and still do stupid things. I would have suggested to cancel their driving privileges instead, for at least a whole year if not a decade.

I have posted this and have a tread somewhere about this before but if you think this is something new, you are fooling yourself. It very very prevalent here in the US and they people involved dont get shit back loan or not. You dont even have to be convicted, just accused and then you give up as the legal costs out weight the asset lost in many cases.

IF these racers were puting people at risk with the behavior, I support long term driving bans, AND lengthy jail terms, but I feel that the only lesson with property seizure is; "if it looks expensive, we can find a charge to allow us to take it".

Thats not Mt Seymour Parkway, thats the mountain road to the ski resort. Its a Provincial park with massive amounts of M/B trails and hiking trails.

Mount seymour parkway where they were spotted is the feeder route to the mountain and a very long, heavily residential street. There is an elementary school that is 1 block off the road, 2 comunity centers that front it, and a shopping center.

Now I don't agree that the RCMP should seize and sell, but those douche bags doing 200kph on a street with a limit of 60kph should be shot IMHO.
I live just around the corner from the parkway and my 5yr old goes to school there. I would kill them with my bare hands if they hit a member of my family doing that shit
