Cosworth. The Porsche 944 was just a bad idea IMO. Never been much of a VW fan.

Doesn't the 944 have a Golf I or II front suspension or parts?
They call it the "poor man's Porsche" over here and my friend had one and I wouldn't want one, except maybe the Turbo S. Either way it handled like crap, was really loud inside and I just didn't like it. It has that lumpy heavy tank feel to it.

There is, however, a lot of co-operation, as Porsche does consulting work for VW, and Porsche has some access to the VW parts bins. VW has also built some 914s, 924s and 944s for Porsche, and Porsche is to build the Audi 80 RS2 for VW."

914-914/6 were VW projects that ended up officially under Porsche.

"The Porsche 914 or VW-Porsche 914 is a mid-engined, targa-toppedVolkswagen and Porsche from 1969 to 1976." two-seat roadster designed, manufactured and marketed collaboratively by VW and Porsche"

Same fate for the 924. It was developped all along as a VW project, then got canned. It also ended up as a Porsche.

"The 924 was originally intended to be Volkswagen's flagship coupé sports car. Volkswagen commissioned Porsche to design the car (VW project number 425), who developed a fresh chassis and transmission that would work with an existing Audi I4 engine"
Way to not read what I quoted you on. You stated that the 944 handled poorly.

I'm not denying that Porsche shares VW parts. I've owned several 944's and I've seen my fair share of VW stamps on the parts I pick up from the dealership.

Blindly stating that the 944 "has no handling" is straight up ridiculous. That's the one thing the car DOES have going for it. If you want a reason not to get the 944 then let's talk timing belts here. The car has near perfect weight distribution. Your post further solidifies the fact that you don't know what you're talking about. I'm not bagging on your general automotive knowledge, but maybe you should shut the fuck up when it comes to cars you know nothing about.

^^ True. the only thing 944's do have, is handling. Straight line fast? NO, my buddys ka24e s13 shit on one. He obviously has never driven one, or is blindly making assumptions. They're ok cars, but not worth the money they go for, and maint. is retarded expensive.

Definitly have to go with the MBZ here. nothing else is really at contest.

edit: Just saw that lee is being a dick... please..SHUT THE FUCK UP, please. You dont know what your talking about. Your making yourself look like a moron.

Corrado is FWD aka fail. Porsche = $$$ and is still a VW. Cossie looks sweet, has history, and will be a fun ride.

Having owned a cossie and driven 951's, I'd say I prefer the way the cossie feels, particularly in the corners. That said, I've driven some 951s that haul ass in the straights and that can be fun too.

the corrado if you want a car that looks pretty but breaks sitting in your driveway. Except it's still WWD..

                              Motherfuckin' this.

My buddy picked one up. Pretty clean and he was sooo happy. I think it's still sitting in his backyard after only driving it for a week. Mind you, this is 5-7 years later.
