i love sti's. absolutely love them, great car to drive as long as you know what you're doing. one thing though. they are reliable up to ~150,000mi. after that, expect to be rebuilding the turbo and/or the engine. i have yet to see one make it past that.

evo's are awesome, but as stated earlier the clutches suck dick and you will be replacing it frequently unless you step up to something that isnt so DD friendly.

so, if you have the means. get an 06+ sti thats got documented rebuilds so you wont be going through it or expect it down the line (it'll happen i dont care what anyone says. i know how you drive)

Evo would be cool but you're gonna have to put money into it a little before its really there. not taking anything away from it because its still an awesome car and shit tons of fun to drive.

both cars have tons of character and dont feel like slouches. I vote for either one, and the genesis. I've been dreaming about those. If you want first hand owner experience talk to erick, he recently picked one up and drove it all the way across country so he's got plenty of wheel time to tell you what he really thinks about it.

I'm sure every car company has a certain car that comes in for stupid little things, yet for BMWs it just so happens to be an e46 since it's not old, yet not new. It's in between. E36s have shitty interior/door cards. I'm sure in the mid 90's, alllll you saw were e36s in the shop. If anything, THE most common cars to come in are e65s/e66s. Typically the 745i/Li.

Yes you are right, and those 745's are the worst cars I have ever seen, don't even get me started on that. Although, around here we still see quite a few e36's come in.
