Worst job was Blockbusters...ringing up people for over 4 bucks a movie sucked on top of trying to sell shit that people didn't want to buy with there movie rental i.e., popcorn, candy, other movies. Seriously 4 bucks for a dvd back in '04?

Best career move was the good 'ole USMC...best 5 years of my life. Even though i've been out for 7+ years, the ramifications of that choice still pay dividends, school was paid for, cars were paid for, and it ALWAYS looks good on the resume :)

You would of loved this then. I told them when my finals week was going to be 2 months in advance and they said okay to giving a little more lenient schedule. When I finally see the schedule for that week its a 50 hour week! My managers only response was literally, "no one cares about your school. You better be a team player about this."



Oh I lived in California with about $200 a week and still had enough money for coke and hookers.

350 a week for 3 1/2 days of work is bad? I just stand around allday and take ppls money. im sure if i worked 5day a week i would pull in just under 500 or so.

Shit i can live on 250 a week. thats why i have 300 in my wallet , and 200 in the bank. Get paid tomorrow too. Im not balling but ive got money. Im sure if i lived in a 3rd world state like mid america or the east coast i could rent my own HOUSE , but living in Los Angeles isnt cheap. I still cover other ppls day and get cash for the day. Oh BTW , this is money after taxes. Its really not all that bad. So story told , this isnt bad for a part time job. I wish i could make 20+ a hour but not any time soon.

when I was 15 I washed dishes for a summer (while doing a paper route and working a community center job). it was like $6.50 an hour (1999 or so). I just hated how hot it was and how bad I smelled after work. And the owner accused me of selling drugs from the back and told my parents (family friends) even though it was the prep cook (i didn't rat him out).

then I got a job at a skateboard shop at the end of summer where I stayed for 9 years through college etc. that was the best job ever. hang out with your friends watching skate videos, putting boards together, etc. man I miss those days
