The worst job i ever had was....

Whats the worst job you ever had?

    post up

mine was just outta HS i worked a summer at Owens Corning fiberglass
union wages ($4.25/hr), set hours etc
Owens Corning makes fiberglass insulation. Basically molten glass is blown onto a moving conveyor belt, goes thru an oven, comes out the other side where its dyed whatever color is appropriate, and is then precision trimmed with these large moving knives. something like 20ft/minute.
the scraps fall on the floor where they're hosed into a 40' X 40" X 10" deep pit.
my job was to climb into the pit, shovel the wet dyed fiberglass into 50gal drims and then hoist the drum out with an overhead crane. then repeat etc.
fucking dye on your clothes, fiberglass in your eyes/hair/lungs, loud machinery, low lighting and everyone smoking in your face

never had it so good at the time

When I was in high school, my sister's douche bag boyfriend at the time used to do concrete jobs on the side from his actual concrete job. He would give me $50 a day to be the bitch on the job. Most of the time this included hauling the concrete from the truck over to where it was being laid. My first day doing it I stopped counting at 75 wheel barrow loads of concrete being wheeled 50ft to the pool yard.

Yeah not that bad I know but I've been lucky to have some pretty decent jobs.

I hated that guy so much too which was the worst part of the job but $50 for a days work in high school is effing awesome and I got payed cash at the end of each day.

ha ha dang that's messed up!!!

My worst job ever is a door-to-door roofing salesman. I HATE salesmen, and I ESPECIALLY hate door-to-door salesman, and there I was, being the guy that I passionately hated, and knew how much everyone else passionately hated me.

          Gosh, did that job suck.

Line Cook/ Dish washer while in HS

I had 2 jobs at the time as my construction job was summer only, and had to work the last few hours of the day in the shop, cleaning up and wrenching on all the shit jobs after school. get done there, go shower, and go cook food for everyone else s dinner at a local watering hole. Get done there at about 11pm - 2am. GO home SHOWER again and go to bed. Only to get up at 630 and go to school all day again.

My HS job was awesome. Worked in Carmel California at a little italian joint that had two locations two blocks away from each other. Very high priced. I started as a bus boy and was told if I was awesome and took care of the servers, the waiters/waitresses would give me a few bucks at the end of the night. Turns out the few bucks was upwards of $45.00 per server.

I moved into being a waiter and made upwards of $300 a night in tips alone. The other servers which were/are predominately female where all smokin' hot and nicer than hell. Was a great job.

                  Worste job? Sales.
                  Need a part? PM me.

Concrete finisher in the July in OK. This was the summer before my last semester of college.

The under the table $12/hr quickly became not worth being in the sun 11-12 hours a day 5-6 days a week. I found a job in a deli only making $9/hr after about 1.5 weeks.

It did give me a ton of motivation to make sure nothing stood in the way of me graduating from college at the end of the semester.

Pfft. That's just fun times if you're a finisher.

LOL wow, I hate concrete work, and have done a shit ton of it for both work and side jobs. I am a good finnisher and yeah it sucks when its hot as fuck and the sun and curing is sucking all the moisture outta the shit and you can get enough cream to the top. I hate it but it paid the bills for a long long time

You were a finnsiher and only making 12 cash ???? WTF a good finisher makes at least 22 normal wages and 15-20 under the table

I cleaned up a suicide in a bathtub. Shotgun to the chin.

I also cleaned up a house that was the worst mess I have ever seen humans live in.
