^ it is that because there are not enough people with a brain building these cars, and those that do don't care about forums.

There is one great forum for these cars for someone who is actually interested on improving their s-chassis (and it's not centered around drifting, nowai!).

The stigma really isn't that bad, depending on how you modify your car.

My car looks pretty much stock. Just lowered + 17s. I have never been hassled by the police, and even most of the ricers around town don't give the car too much of a 2nd look. The fmic gets more attention than anything.

If you're just buying one to look cool, then meh. They are fun cars and it's a shame to just stuff giant retardo sized wheels on it, beat the fenders up pulling them out, and hardpark at the local fast food joint.

fact is, i'm young, i'm stupid (sometimes), and i don't mind the stigma.

the last thing you'd call my tastes is rice, but i follow the drift/hellaflush/stance scenes and while there are annoying people within those groups.. there's some cool people too.

    now.. to make some money

I love 240s. I will not get rid of mine until it gets wrecked, and then I'll just find a clean shell (exceedingly difficult task any more) and chassis swap.

I used mine for autox/hdpe, and only a tiny bit of drifting. They are very capable cars with a RIDICULOUS amount of aftermarket support. It's easy to build one cheap, and not that hard to build one right (ie without bullshit megan parts everwhere, etc).

Marketing has won big in 240land though, tons and tons of sub-par parts offered as upgrades, and are probably worse than stock. Lots of dumb kids who just want the look and no interest in learning to drive. Sure, too each their own, but why put 'race parts' on a car just to hardpark?

I have a creampuff hardtop SE coupe for sale that right now that I'm surprised hasn't sold faster. So hard to find these cars with low miles/clean title any more.

    <3 my s13. Had it since 03.

Owning an s13 used to be fun. Then it got maddeningly popular. I'll be selling mine soon.

I've had two s13 coupes. One with sr20det and the other NA ka. My friend had one with a rb26. If you get a s13 everyone always ask if you have an engine swap. S13 & s14 carry the same virtual persona as most hondas. You're driving a ricer. They were fun to drive but definitely fit a younger crowed.

Ask your local HPDE driving instructor, somewhere along the lines they had an e30..

I love S13s and I was looking into some SR swapped ones but 90% of the ones I found were ghetto hacks. They make us who do E30 24V swaps look like a factory jobs, which is massively ironic.

wow. sounds like a pretty nice car. im leaning mostly towards s13 brick fronts.. call me blasphemous but the reason i love it so much is cause it reminds me of a corrado.

@whtrice, thanks for the rust guide

@braytonia, looks sick. sometimes i like the pignose, this is one of those times

@e30 gangsta, i swear i've seen your car around on forums. its effectively the car i wish i could find. if you don't mind me asking, how much did you sell it for (and when?)

i wish i could find someone with a properly setup car to let me test drive it. you know how it is with old worn out cars, you need something to aspire to in the handling/braking/acceleration department.

r3v is great, i've gotten more info from you guys than hours of scouring 240 forums

I miss my s13 very much. Red top, welded diff, stance coils, greddy fmic, koyo, etc. Such a fun car.

My old S13, '89 Coupe SE- Coilovers, Wheels, Exhaust, VLSD and a few interior mods. Loved it to death and wish I had never sold it. (of course I say the same thing about my E30 as well)
Their cheap cars with endless possibilities. Anyone you buy whether it be an S13 or S14 they both have plenty of potentional.

I had sold it for an E30 then I traded that for an S14, worst decision in my life. Motor blew on me two weeks later then it was all down hill from there. Crashed it and sold it and bought a cheap little Honda to save on gas. Will hopefully later on in life buy another 240. (S13 Coupe) Probably the most fun I've ever had in a car imo.
