    Those shots are amazing!

I'm new to DLSRs. Just picked up a 50mm f1.8, I'm in love after using the shitty kit lenses they packaged the Canon t3i with.

What is everyone's favorite site for noobs?

Can i ask why some of you guys use an artificial flash/spotlight? In somewhere other then a garage/studio. Imo it looks awful. Natural or bust. Only artificial lighted cars i like are overhead lights in a parking garage.

Go to any auto makers website, automotive photographers website, or pick up any magazine... then get back to us. ;)

Here is just one quick example:

I was instructing at an autoX school on Saturday. It was wet, dry, wet, then wet and dark. Surprisingly, the wet and dark offered some really cool shots.

I'm very new to photography. Recently got some rolls of film developed. These were all taken with a Minolta Maxxum 5000, on either a 50mm f/1.7 or a 35-70mm f/4.

There are more on my flickr, but I'm not super pleased with all of them. These are my favorites. A lot came out blurry, which I believe is a combination of unsteady hands when using longer shutter speeds, or just some amateur focusing on my part.

                    Anyways, thanks for looking.

I had a 5000i back in the day. Was my 1st Auto focus rig. Still have a 8000I around somewhere (recently moved). My Gma recently found a bunch my old Minolta 35mm gear in a Box in the back of my Gpas closet. I told him to sell it for me 15 years ago, I never knew he kept it for me, and just gave me the money.

It's a really nice camera. I also have a Nikon N5005 AF which is nice, but I really prefer the minolta. I'm looking into purchasing a Sony Alpha body to go digital which would let me use the same lenses I already have.

Yeah Minolta/Konica sold the SLR division to Sony about 6 or 7 years ago, mostly Sony was after the Image stabilization tech at the time. They have continued on with the A, and stuck with the Minolta mount Alpha / A mount.

Funny thing now is Sony is leading the charge on Digital senors, they are selling to just about everyone, Including, Nikon, Olympus and Fuiji, for some of their top of the heap models. The thing about it is, Canon has not updated their senor tech in a long while, and the once great leader and king of digital senors is starting to fall behind. Rumors a flying that canon my be dropping a Revolutionary advance in Sensor tech that will leave everyone in the dust for a decade in the not too distant future.
