          Focal distance depends on where you have the lens zoomed, but it's really close say 2-3 inches?

                        or by using a reversing ring which connects onto the lens mount. i haven't done it in quite some time, but i took these a couple years ago:









                        by the way, I have no stabilized lenses anymore, just fast glass. if you need small apertures, use a tripod instead of being dependent on a stabilization system.
