if not hrd then what would it be called?
i think he was going for that look or he would just not use the strobes.
Its not using tone blending or some algorithm to blend I'm talking cutting out the parts that don't match as well and replacing them. Also lighting a car isn't solely about making the car brighter than the background. Its more that that, accenting shapes/curves with hightlights and and controlling where the light goes is huge too. Which is why I use both lights and multiple exposures.

Ok, I've think my grandpa did that with a cemetery shot where the sky and the ground where perfect. Great work. Feel free to give me some CC whenever I post.
Trees growing out of trunk and roof! :tsk: Also You should take another 2 shots one that exposes your background and pavement nice and one that exposes the sky nicely. Then blend the 3 exposures. Its like hdr but less fake looking and It won't contrast your strobes so hard making the shot look more natural.
Hey Grant :finger: Also, how many hours into that rig shot? lol
I had the car at that location and I figured fuck the poles/tree at that point. Same location as the Camaro so I didn't want to mimic the same shots. Also, I love me dark skies.
