Dope! I am in awe of some of the lightning pics I see out there. That second pic is cool.

I want to get out of the city and try some time lapse night shots.

I want to get out of the city and try some time lapse night shots.

You might do ok by heading up to Lake Arrowhead or if you wanted to do some driving, head out to Death Valley. I'd love to make it back down to Death Valley again. Lots of cool places to shoot out there, and odds are it will be clear and dry. Heck, even north of Mojave on 395 would get you some seriously dark sky.

lived here for 10 years, and have seen maybe 3...while 2 of those 3 in the last 2 days...odd since its such a rainy city.

im totally new to photography, but enjoying it all the time.
