I'm in the exact same position as you but I started earlier. This is what I did and I was losing 1lb a day for the first week and now about 1lb every 2 days. My goal is only 25lbs lost, though, so it goes slower the closer you get to your goal.
Eat within 30-45m of getting up in the morning. I used to eat nothing til lunch and it didn't matter if I ate healthy, I still couldn't lose it.
Eat every 2.5 - 3 hours, something small. Low sugar and high protein, people go crazy about stopping carbs but I don't avoid them, I just don't over consume either.
70-150 calories is what I shoot for in a "meal", 100 calories average.
For dinner eat a normal meal but make sure it is normal portions. 6 oz of meat is what I shoot for with a double serving of veges. If you go out to eat, the Applebee's 2 for $20 is great. You can get the steak and veges meal and it isn't terrible for you.
Couple hours after dinner, I walk a few miles. I'm now up to running 2 miles and walking 2 but when I started I could only walk if I didn't want to be in tons of pain. This was the hardest for me because in high school I would run 10 miles every other night without skipping a beat, it is very humbling to say the least.
The thing that is the worst for me is sugar, I can't eat it like I used to. If your a soda drinker, just stop now because that probably the single worst thing you are consuming right now. Go with diet if you can't stop, I was drinking diet when I started but since I've been cutting more and more sugar out of my diet I find myself craving sweet less and less. I usually just grab a water now.
This has been working for me so maybe it will help you, maybe not. I was sick of being a chub the past few years and had to completely change how I eat meals in order to start losing weight.
