So i showed her an $800 E30 on craigslist and told her i was going to look at it and wanted to buy it to DD or part out. She said she wanted to split it with me and hold onto it as a DD/fun car, she has wanted an old BMW for a while now. (we live together, been dating for 2 years so dont give me shit for splitting a car with her)

So I bought it today for $500. I called my insurance and was quoted $125 for the first month and $88 every month for liability insurance with both of us listed as drivers. Thats really not all that bad. All the car needs is a fuel pump ($40 at from a friend) So i was very excited to have another e30 to mess around with for a total of $665 up front.

Now for rant:

Her spring break is in a couple weeks and she wants to go back home and for me to go with her. I arranged to get 4 days off work so i could go. Her mom is buying her ticket, and mine would be around $275, all of which is coming directly out of my already small bank account. I told her I dont know if i can justify that much (just airfare, no expenses) for a 4 day trip staying at her parents house (no fun). She got all pissy and now is mad at me for buying the car she wanted? WTF?!

I was super pumped to have the car, and now ive got a pissed off GF who doesnt want to pay the extra money to insure the car, so when i suggested just parting it out she got even more pissed off because she wont get to drive it. It seems like this is a huge lose, lose for me. FUCK this is frustrating.

I think im gonna just part the damn car out and be done with it. Use the money for whisky and parts for my S50'd car.

She was all for the car until i told her about the insurance cost. Her half would be $60ish for this month, and $44 ever month after that. That is when she decided the car was too much of an expense.

I said lets part it out. Which only fueled the fire of bitchy-ness. She said "we just bought a car and I wont get to drive it if you part it out."

yet she doesn't want to pay insurance? WTF?!
