Anyway, the E30 is alive and well. The GF situation is more or less resolved. The car is now my (our) DD/beater. She accepted that im not spending $300 to miss work, and spend 4 days with the 'in-laws'. She also finally admitted that she was being very irrational about the whole situation.

On a serious note, you both might want to take a look at your finances and see if you can sort them out to make sure this does not become an issue again. Since it is fresh in your minds and IF it was a budget concern VS. the fact that she just did not want to pay. Money issues can be a real relationship killer.

Money isn't really a huge issue. I have a 2 solid jobs (just got the 2nd job), and she has a shit ton saved for a 21 year old, and tutors math and science.

Her savings is the result of being frugal, She is always apprehensive to spend money. Even if she really wants to buy something and has the money she will still hold off.

Thats part of the reason i was so fed up, she has the money but made a huge deal over the $100 insurance. I'm not putting down saving money, but for gods sake, if you have the money and want something just buy the damn thing.

Anyway, issues are resolved. Money is had, time to buy more E30 parts :)
