Honestly I think the beast way to have them beat it is to have them arrested so they are forced to clean them selves up. isnt it like 28 days to break a habit or something like that? I hate to say it, but there was a 90% chance of this happening. At this point you should accept that you can probably never trust her again or at least for a very long time. My sister is a compulsive liar and has been since before I can remember. She is coming around slowly at 21 after at least 6 years of her family calling her out on it, but you have to be ready to lay the law down, be firm and not put up with her shit.

Seriously, you need to look at it like this... this woman is going to drag you down and you are going to watch her do it. And years after this is all over you are going to look back and notice how easily you could have avoided alot of damage.

Realistically none of us on this site know your marrige better than you do. But, from the information you have posted it sounds like her addiction to perscription drugs has gotten to the point that your marrige is not as important to her as it is to you. You had the first normal conversation with your wife in a long time after her 5 days in rehab, I bet that made you miss her soberself. Sometimes people need to lose someone that has always been there for them in order for them to no longer take another person for granted.

This world is a fucked up place, and in this world good people get burnt easily. At the end of the day, you have to do what is right. Decisions in situations like this are never easy to choose, it is up to you to use your mind to figure out what to do.

If she relapses (which is sounds like she has by her taking your card) than you are a small part of her source to get drugs because she steals from you without any remorse.

God damn! I have never understood the codependent. Once the theft/drugs came into the picture I would have been done with her. Then the "love ya" bullshit from the guy upstairs, I wouldnt have the patience to dig to find out if it was as family or she was messing around and then the moment she gets home she takes off with the CC.

I would have already made myself poor by transferring all of my assets and talking to a divorce lawyer. Between the petty thefts, criminal charges, drugs and add on the overly friendly correspondence with the dealer upstairs she probably would have been boned in divorce court.
