You are paying for that all by yourself with student loans? Or are your parents helping?

      state school = win.

sister is going to IU. and she even got $$, 3K a year. which will help us with two of us in school at the same time.

ok, I'll show my age here. When I was in undergrad, my tuition was $750/semester. My Nat'l Merit Scholarship was 2100/semester. So 1350 in my pocket for books, rent, booze, etc. With $4 cases of Old Milwaukee, that went quite a ways.

wow. $4 cases. oh well. I'll be living on $10 fifths of burnetts and then sailor jerry first semester and then whatever is on sale at the time 2nd. And Subway / Taco Bell, and hopefully cooking for myself now that I have a dish washer.

my old roommates were both out of staters and were paying $28K for the same room and food I was dishing out $6K.

My rent is a little more than I'd like because it is a two bedroom. I wish I could have gotten two more friends who were getting shit from parents so it'd be a four man for $325/mo.

a fifth of Burnetts is $10 in Indiana? damn. I thought Oregon's liquor tax was high. they're only 8.45 here (and like 6 in Nevada).
Try the coconut vodka - it seriously tastes just like Malibu (only it's 70 proof!).

I think it can be had for $8, but even my good friends keep the change.

Some girl Saturday had a handle of it. The first I had ever seen. I wonder how much that is. But Burnetts is great because it's cheap, but frozen it's not harsh at all or like paint thinner (skoll, mccormicks, dark eyes, you name it).

oh well. I miss being intoxicated. with full time work, boring indy with nothing going on, and a gf, I've only drank a few times this summer. And last time it was incredibly fun, I miss it.

                  What did you apply for?

I mean, seriously, I had a 2.2 in high school, I'm a typical whiteboy with parents that aren't poor. I applied for a shitload of scholarships and ended up with like 12k/year in stuff.

School up here is so heavily government funded (our social system owns yours) that I can't help but feel sorry for you guys. I go to the "Ivy League" of Canadian schools (U of Toronto) and it's only $5k/year for tuition, which was like $3400USD just a few years ago.

That's the key question my friends.

                              I wish I had, but I didn't.

I'm not complaining though, I was kinda kidding. lol

It's my fault I don't have scholarships, hopefully I'll make up for that during my next few years in school.

I was offered $16k/year to New Mexico State and turned it down and never told my parents about it. Now I'm at Arizona State where grades are a pass/fail thing, and I'm on student loans just to afford going there. There's just no way I was going to go to New Mexico for 9 straight months...
