Raising the (speed) limit

Iowa just raised the speed limit to 70 mph on the Interstate. I't's about time. This state is always 10 years behind the rest of the country. Anywhere in the States where it's higher than 70 mph? I think Montana is higher but I can't recall.

Those of you that live outside of the States, what's the speed limit where you live? Australia? Peru? Malaysia? We all know about Germany.

65 still in Oregon until about 15 miles South of Portland on I-5 when it turns to 55

Most SoCal freeways are 65 but if you get out of the city areas you get 70 speed limits

I don't think I've ever done 65 on the freeway in my E30, much less 55. And I'll assure you, neither does anyone else. The speed limits in Oregon are ludicrous.

FL has some areas that's 70, like the Florida Turnpike. The Interstates are usually 65.

Brazil's fastest speed limit is 120km/h.... that's like...... 72mph

I just got pulled over on a local freeway, the cop asked "do you know what the speed limit here is" I say "65". He got really mad. Its a large highway and the limit is 60. Its rediclious. Needless to say I got a ticket. 70-75 everywhere is manditory.

GA 400 has a limit of 55 some places. If you aren't doing 90 on that road, then you're going way too slow. Everyone speeds there.

tell me about it, the first time I drove through atlanta I just about got run over and I was doing 85.
