S52 oil pan in an e30...omfg suck.

Also, I don't like anything I've ever done to the rear suspension/subframe like many have said.

I Don't know about all that. I don't hate to work on my car or anything, But I would not say it is anywhere on the top of my list.
I do this shit all day long every day, so I'm not exactly thrilled when I have to do it when I get home. To some degree it still costs me more, if not the same amount of money to do it also.
Any time I am spending my weekend working on my cars I could be doing work on someone else's car and making money, more money than I would be paying one of my good friends, who is a ASE master tech (best wrencher I know) to do the work.

Granted I do enjoy working on my car in my own garage more than a day of work, because I can listen to the music I want, take my time and drink and whatnot all I want. although when I have my own shop I guess It won't really be that different when I'm working, except the drinking and the whatnot.

I suppose thats true....I should say removing an e34 m50 pan from an s52 in an e30 without removing the crossmember = horrible.

I have a bitch of a time trying to get the splines lined up correctly on the steering wheel. I still think mine is slightly crooked.

That and rusty undercarriage stuff.. but PB blaster works wonders. I like to work on my car, especially mods. Maintenance is okay, problem solving sucks if you can't diagnose the issue on the first couple of tries.

I've worked my way through a lot of shit - but that fucker takes the cake.

I vented some frustrations in this thread if you want some reading.

I'm actually taking a day off from the job to cool down and get my head in a better place..

Anything on a Ford E series van. We have 2 diesel ones and they are such a pain in the ass to do work on! You are constantly getting in and out of the car to get to parts, plus the doghouse is a bitch to take off. All this work and trying not to get grease on anything, I will take every job on my e30 before doing work on our vans.

good idea. It's like a piece of art, sometimes you've just got to walk away from it for a while

I hated everything until I got an impact.

well, I don't love fixing stuff. I realize though that the E30 is super, super easy to fix in most cases. Ask somebody about replacing the heater core in a Ford Ranger for example. Comparing that to an E30? haha!

These days, I pretty much only like to build something new on the side, and replace whatever is in the car all at once. I don't do "pull it off, rebuild it, and put it back together in a day" any more. I have other things I'd rather do, like actually driving the car, that I enjoy a lot more. And for some reason electrical/wiring mods are interesting me a lot more now than anything else..
