First things first.
Go there, and ask if something is missing out of their machine.

second, take a picture and email or mail Mcdonalds, asking if this would be a part from a machine that may or may not be now damaged.

And then, go on with life. Nothing scarring, damaging, or harming happened. It's not a chicken head from gross QC issues, it's a SS rod that most likely came from a now broken machine.

I like McDonald's. To be honest, it's Burger King that makes me sick to my stomach. All of the McD's around here are actually really nice (either new or recently remodeled), there's like 4-5 of them. There's 2 BK's, and they're fucking DISGUSTING. They're old, usually dirty, almost no one in them, and everyone "working" in them is either a current or former meth addict.
