It's white, it contains the whole visible spectrum. The Earth's atmosphere filters it though, that's why it looks yellowish closer to the zenith point, and reddish when it's closer to the horizon (the rays pass rough more air to get to you).
The color of the light is determined by its wavelength, so the color of a light emitting object is determined by wavelengths of the rays it is emitting.
Why non light emitting objects have different colors was explained previously.
