    Moving to Washington...need advice

This August I am moving to Spokane, Washington from Central Ohio. I was planning on renting a u-haul and trailer but i just priced it out and was quoted $1600, which is way more than i can afford.

I need to get all my stuff and the E30 out there, and there is no way in hell all of my crap will fit in my car.

If anyone has done a similar move I'd love to get some input on how to get all my stuff and my car to Washington.

    Thanks,
    Joe

Seriously though, I'd just ditch the mattress and go with Luke's suggestion: CL another one.

Always figure cost of transportation in owning stuff. If you have to move it, you get to pay to do so...unless you have a Chatham and Wells Ultra (the $2600 Queen I tossed in a divorce) it is not worth moving across states.

yea, i was planning on $500-$750ish and that i could handle, but $1600 thats insane. So as of right now the plan is stuff all my crap in the car and go. The only big items i have/want to take are my TV, Stereo/speakers, and books. The rest is just a shit ton of clothes.

Buy a $500 Toyota PU, pack your shit in there, then have a friend/relative drive the e30, packed with shit.

The Toyota won't break down. It's a Toyota truck.

Sell that shit too, unless you have some mad attachment to them...seriously, if it is just "stuff", replace it as needed.

Another idea is buy a hitch for your E30 and a small trailer. They're usually very cheap on craigslist or even Harbor Freight sells them!
