I think I want a tattoo. More of a rebelous thing, since I am not in a gang (which in itself would be rebelous) nor in the military. I want something that wont bother me if I get old.

I haven't gotten a tattoo just because I know there is nothing I will still like in 10 years... hell, even 2 years, or the rest of my life.

Asian tattoos and tribal tattoos are probably 2 of the worst trends out there.

My buddies younger brother was killed in a head-on collision with a semi. He had his brothers initials inked on his right hand.

That's a lot different than getting a big tattoo of some random Chinese symbol just to "rebel."

I have seen some great paintings, pictures, mottos bumper stickers, cartoons etc but I have never seen anything I would want to have to hang on my wall for the rest of my life let alone to put on my body.... Oh yeah also it freaking hurts!

ok, I got flamed.

I did not mean I am rebelous. Just that when I hit 80 and see a my only tattoo it would remind me of what I went through from the age of 14 to 18 and prbably for a few more years. It would have meaning... Beign able to look and back and say, damn i did all that and I still ended up like this (however I may end up) I am sure others had shitty years too...but...

The symbol means eternity. and I was trying to stay away from tribal symbols and trend tattoos. I have never met anyone with that. or jap symbols. I could get a fucking square on my chest and it would have the same meaning to me.
