Well I have a good idea of what I want to get for the TV and for the monitor now, but I still need advice of good brands/models of DVD players on a budget.Comment

I got a Daewoo at Sam's for 30.00 over a year ago it has been abused by my 16 year old daughter who's motto is you can't be too rough with machines and she has been unable to break it. It is a cheap looking unit that works fine.

hard to believe but no. I bought it because it was so cheap and figured it would be going back the next day. It is still at my house. Be warned this thing looks cheap cheap cheap. But I have to admit it works. Even has no region, says region 1 but damn thing plays region 4 disks I rent here.
I have a first gen Sony 7000 that cost 1000.00 in 95 or 96 and this thing plays almost as well. My 2003 Harman Kardon DVD 50 changer plays better than both but what do you want from a 10 or 11 year old unit or one that screams cheap?
I wouldn't tell you it's ok if it weren't.

I also have a Flexscan L565.
Im going to first check to see if my brother wants it, if not, it will be up for sale. I'd need to research on prices, but to give you a rough idea, I'd be asking for +- $500 on either one of the monitors.~ Go Canucks Go! ~
