Now correct me if I am wrong here as its been a long time since I have been into this shit. But isnt the whole idea of folding space/time based on the assumption that the speed of light is as fast as anything can go and that is one of the core values for relativity and since now we have faster than light particles it kinda shoots this notion all to shit ????

with that definition the "Theory of Relativity" is not a fact. It is just "a plausible or scientifically acceptable general principle". Finding something that Einstein did not know existed only means that somebody will have to further experiment, test, revise, etc.
If Einstein were still alive and well or if he had the resources scientists today have I am sure things would be different.
Time travel has yet to be proven true or false. This like said before just opens up doors.Comment

I agree with you. My point being that, relativity is kinda the gold standard accepted theory, that many many people have been working from for a long time is all. This kinda throws it all out of wack, and thats a good thing imo.
Time travel is not something I am really thinking about, (all though its a prospect) I am thinking more of how to travel great distances at speeds exceeding that of light.
I have always thought of the Light speed barrier much like that of the sound barrier. Until Yeager and the X1 broke it, no one knew if it could be done or what would happen. Yes bullets and what not were supper sonic but you get my point I trust. Just one thing to note, major keystones of relativity and time travel are no longer theoretical, they are repeatable and verifiable. Actually, anyone who uses a GPS receiver is practicing fundamentals of each. Very precise GPS receivers have to account for the gravitational bending of the space around us and the impact of velocity on time.
The only thing this potentially impacts is the operational limit of the mass/energy equation. Being said, this is just a statement right now, it could very easily be in error and wont have any validity until its shown to be repeatable.Im now E30less.
