Now...Imagine if you traveled faster than light. Essentially you would be able to pass those light particles and watch the clock tick back, but you would be an outsider, and unable to change things.

It's more of a perspective dealio.
So glad I'm not high right now lol

And I oPened this thread hoping for some land of the lost!

interesting. so i can only witness what was a the horrible years of high school and not change anything about it.

      well then. FUCK THAT.

But with that theory in mind, time travel is only a one time deal. You travel forwards but you can never go back. Sooo if anyone has actually gone and travelled to the future, the said person could never go back and explain or prove it. Therefore proof is not available. Am I correct in assuming this? It would appear so, to me at least, but I am open to be proven wrong. I'd love to go forward and come back, then live differently accordingly.

But...the method describe above is for travelling back, not forward. Even then, once you slowed down you would eventually be back in present time in short order.

I'm no expert, but I do watch a shit load of that Asian and British black dude on History/Discovery. I think it's called "The Universe" or something, where they explore these theories.

It's something I like, but will never be able to do anything about, as I fucking hate math and could never get a degree in it, and therefore be taken seriously.

Time travel cant happen. Also going warp speed is not whats important, we need a way to fold space if we really want to travel it.

Wait they said it went 2% faster then light, but they have a 3% margin of error.

                    Someone made a miscalculation.

                        .3 of a percent, or .3 as in 30%

Scientists calculated the margin of error at just 10 nanoseconds, making the difference statistically significant. But given the enormity of the find, they still spent months checking and rechecking their results to make sure there was no flaws in the experiment.
