You're a snotty motherfucker, aren't you? I have owned another car with a wet noodle frame and fitted a very similar brace, which made an absolute night-and-day difference--from rattles and chassis oscillation galore to near nothing. I extrapolated from this experience as well as other testimonials I have read on forums. Sure, it's hearsay, but I have a hard time believing it is a worthless mod.
A small, sporting car with a small engine has short gearing and this is somehow surprising you? Were you expecting to take road trips in your Miata? 100hp cars need short gearing in order to get out of their own way. It's not rocket science.
Also, you misinterpreted my response as explaining all of your qualms. I was only remarking about the gear ratio.
Are you somehow under the impression that I'm not aware the Miata is completely and entirely gutless?
Seriously, what have I ever said to make you believe I thought the Miata was fast?
Right, they don't handle for shit. People like racing small cars with a serious gay stigma just because they're sort of cheap to maintain.
WTF? Not all small cars have these issues. An e30 for an example does not have a weak chassis, bad gear ratio, seating position, and under powered engine.

What can an NA with a 1.8 engine with a 99 head swap and dual exhaust cam swap accomplish? Maybe 120hp & 95 tq? My 200k mile e30 puts out 150hp and 150 tq with no modification to engine or powertrain.
Are you going to say it has a better power to weight ratio?
Miatas are only popular as track cars because they are inexpensive to run and parts and easy to get.
