IDK....had a friend wrap, literally, wrap his MK IV Jetta around a tree. Got it fixed, couldn't even tell, although there was probably some pretty fucked up frame damage, but he sold the car and bought a Honda.

from personal experience NEVER NEVER neglect to call the police.
it will make it harder to prove to the insurance company if she decides to fuck you and claim it was not her.

her insurance will not be on your side even of you have her info and will make you jump through fire to get your money.

it will get even worse if it was on private property because, at least in AZ, a parking lot hit means she pays for yours and YOU pay for hers. no fault bullshit.

either way, be ready for a fight.

I couldnt have said it better. My advice would be to call the police of the area where it happened to file a delayed accident report, and contact the insurance company immediately. I would never just rely on the person to pay 2,000 up front and expect for everything to go smoothly.

Never just let them or their buddy fix your car. They will cut corners and just make it look pretty when you pick it up and once you take it, all bets are off. Go through insurance and get what you rightfully deserve.

Update: Soo finally after multiple phone calls and interviews its settled. She admitted fault. Her insurance came to appraise my car and now waiting for a phone call to see how much there going to give me. Any advice on how to get as much as possible? I do have some receipts saved up, but honestly i don't know how much is a fair price.
4 door all stock, besides the euro grilles, Bosch smilies headlights, iS spoiler, weaves, re-did my two front seats, ipod connector. New impact strips. All stock pretty much regular maintenance, got a new radiator, battery tires, alternator within the last year.
So again my question fair price on this? (Had close to 295XXX) Odo broke.
