You bring up a good point. Wouldn't be surprised if the driver had a warrant... hate to judge, but seeing the tattoos on the neck and faces of these guys screams thug.Again, you all assume that the police found nothing else when they ran the plates.
How do you know that they didn't find multiple arrest warrants or something of that nature? People dont typically run over a fucking cell phone ticket, so I presume they were doing something illegal and didn't want to be caught. If they run, they've just committed a larger crime than the phone ticket.
EDIT: Turns out the driver was on parole, LinkLast edited by Eurospec; 10-26-2011, 10:42 PM.Leave a comment:

Wonder how the cop feels about trying to get a 100 bucks in fines, that ended in this kids death?????
Not that it was his fault at all, hes not the one who ran and broke even more laws, but the fact that Phone laws are nothing more than revenue streams, there is no other reason to enforce them.
Sad Sad deal thoughLeave a comment:

Yeah, I hear you there. All of this could have been avoided if a few things didn't happen but they did. All over a damn cell phone ticket provoked by the state trying to bring in more revenue. I don't see why they had to pursue (which puts everybody in harms way) over such a petty infraction. Can't the cops just get the license plate and issue a warrant for evading? they all have dash cams these days right?Leave a comment:

This is exactly why I often oppose pursuits, especially for such small infractions. It's a damn shame this ended the way it did. Hope those scumbags rot in jail.
My condolences go out to the friends and family.Leave a comment:

I can not ephisize how much I agree with you there. Everybody should be shit scared of prison, these days it seem like a resort with tv, gym, some even have swimming pools. They get to spend the day outside get feed decent meals. Some can even make money inside buy doing duties.
If you ask me that is not prison.Leave a comment:

Still hate it when people say fuck the police. They were doing there job, it really fucks me off because of two local situations that have happened in recent times.
The first a young aboriginal man stole a car, police picked up on the car and gave chase. Eventually the stolen car was regually over 100km/h so the police called of the chase for safety concerns. This was at about 5:30 in the mourning. About 5min after the chase was called of the stolen car t-boned another car. The criminal survived while the you young victom died, he had only been married to his wife for a week and she was pregnat with there first child very sad story and the aboriginal only got 5 years in jail.
So after this situation people complained that police fail to stop this guy.
Then no so long ago a police officer gave chase to a motorcycle who was speeding. After the bike went over 100km/h the officer called off the chase and literally a few minuets later the guy lost control and hit stobe pole and died. The fucked up part to this story is that the family of the guy who died sued the police because the police officer chased the bike through a pedestrian crossing with out slowing down. The police officer lost his job and the police department had pay out the family.
In both of these situations police called off the chase and the out comes have been fatal. All I can say is that even if police call off a chase the criminal dose not slow down because they can not see the police they drive hard to get to where they are trying to get to.
So I just wanted to clarify that calling off a chase is not the right way to fix this situation as well.Leave a comment:
