do you have a gf? if you do, take $5k and go somewhere that is warm with beaches for a week or two. if you dont, buy a nice e30.

the rest? invest in your future.

$40k is not a lot and can disappear very quickly. at your stage in your life is still a healthy sum of money that can net you quite significant returns over the course of your life. (aka, a bachelors degree) the hating on a college education in this thread is retarded. yes, there are tons of people who are incredibly successful that didnt go to college. there are also a shit ton MORE people who are successful because they went to college.

go to college, get paid. buy more m3s.

        college ain't gonna get you a NICE M3...prolly just a shitty e36 m3

This man and several other posters clearly have no idea how supply and demand works.

Lets see...I'm gonna go and get the same qualifications that EVERYONE ELSE AND HIS DOG HAS then struggle to find a job and if I finally land one, hold onto it for DEAR LIFE AND LET MY EMPLORYER SCREW ME OVER ON MY WAGES UNTIL I"M RETIREMENT AGE...then I die.

...uhm, yeah... doesn't make much sense to me either.

TO the OP, do what you want, but understand that whatever you do with it, is your responsibility. But I do like the "starting your own business" idea...very unconventional and self-empowering over trusting some shitty company to manage your future.
If it's got tits or tires, it's gonna cost ya!

I promise you, Stanley. Not a single person on this forum has the same qualifications as me.
I doubt there's a person on here that knows a couple of the differences between RSlogix 500 and RSlogix 5000.

Working part time as a pharmacy intern, you do alright financially during school.
Yup! My best friend and my GF are both doing this. My buddy just got accepted to pharmacy school and the GF is in school and is currently and intern working ~20 hours a week at $13/hr. As long as they both do fairly well in school they are pretty much guaranteed $100k will full benefits and JOB SECURITY when they graduate. Not a bad gig at all, too bad I hate/suck at science.

Well, the 5000 is 10x better than the 500. So, Stanley i bet there aren't more than 2 people on this forum with the same qualifications as us.

Also. I doubt anyone on here has ever worked with KRL.

From someone that is going to college, don't go to college. Do you know how much more money I would be making if I stayed in the Fleet services internship and became a Fleet serviceman for the NYPD?

no one else is really doing anything, standard wage slaves, a LOT of them are still trying to pay off their debt from going to school and finishing (whether or not they actually finished doesnt change the fact they still owe money)

ive got 11 really good freinds who we all kept up with each other through the years.
9 went to college me and the other guy didnt

other guy - makes 80k a years writing software for the judicial system (no degree)

Me - i work at III forks (one of the best steak houses in America)im just a server no college or anything, I am not allowed to divulge what we make but i do ok.

5 friends are going back to school to try and get a master degree because their bachelors in everything from comp sci, history, to business isn't good enough these days since there are people with Ph D and masters degrees who cant get a job

1 friend is a internal medicine doctor, sacrified 10 years of his life to go to school, and now works 120 hours a week at a hospital and in his own words, he is a slave to the people, but is making more then 1k per day. (he still has 450,000 in medical school debts)

the other are joining the military to try and pay off their school and learn a trade

its sad when a bachelors degree is the new highschool

don't let it be. pick a real program (engineering cough) and suffer through it. study hard, socialize, do it right.

don't fuck up like me and end up with a B. Arts in nothing and have $25K in student loans

engineering is HARD and most people don't have the knack for it.. and fail, and become nothing, and my tips that i make at work would make some people go "wait what"

friend of mine had a 2 person table that tipped him 1500 in 1 night (they bought a 3500.00 bottle of wine and ha dinner) and THAT isn't even all that rare to spend for wine (tip should have been 900 bucks but they paid extra)

I work 4 days a week, and make 200-400 a day working 5 hours a day, and i have plenty of time to do whatever i want (which is get through this break up because its costing me everything i have because bitches are expensive)
I can run Auto Checks on VINs for tips/donations:
PM me VIN(s) and I'll get you ALL the public recorded info that I have available.

The economy is so fucked right now that college is actually a bad idea if you ask me. Granted, it's great to go to college for personal growth reasons but don't go to college expecting to get a job right away or in the field that you study. There are so few jobs to go around that even traditionally high paying fields aren't paying well. To top it all off, tuition is increasing rapidly and in order to pay for school you will have to sign your life away for a 40-100k student loan. It's really just a fucked up situation all around. Personally, I am happy with my (relatively) cheap state school BA. Now I can focus on my career and doing what I want with my life as opposed to being a slave to a student loan.

I assume they're pretty similiar. It's all the general bs plus a lot of bio and some chem. I got a BS in bio with a chem minor and knocked out the prereqs simultaneously. Currently im in a year long pullout program working on my Masters in clinical research. I'm wanting to design and implement clinical trials for new and investigational drugs, plus I'll always have retail to fall back on. It's not difficult to earn 150k as a retail pharmacist... but ill need every bit of that to pay back the loans for what will end up being an 11 year college career.
