    HA! I like that job!

Pretty much everything was wrong with that car. Interior was trashed, and it had rained in an open car. Every panel was dented. Front belly pan was caved in - it had hit something low. Whole front was a little crooked. Hood wasn't original and looked burned underneath. Trunk lid was crooked. Exhaust hung on with cloth straps. Primer. Rust. 4 different tire sizes, old and cracked. Wouldn't run. Jury-rigged CA emission equipment and weird plumbing.

And then recent receipts and some enthusiast stuff in the trunk and a box of brand new plugs…?? How did it get like that then?

    ahh, Spiders (when they're nice)…

This guy (Daron Walker) is great, but pretty far from you in Tacoma WA. Many people ship their cars to him, I have heard. He started small, and is now one of the Alfa body gurus…

Reports that this WTCC Safety car above has over 300 hp.

Rumors that a 4c Quadrifoglio (4 leaf clover) version with the 300hp engine will be here by the end of 2015.

Rumors that the rear aluminum cradle might be redesigned for different engine possibilities.

Rumors that the US version is 300 lbs heavier than the "stated" euro dry weight, due to additional carbon structure required, extra airbags, A/C, etc.

Likely that the US versions won't get the spider eye headlights.

Probability that the 4c is way out of most people's budgets so none of this really matters anyway...?

Reports of a Ferrari "skunk works" department doing the engineering for all future Alfa models, which will be RWD only.

Who knows! Alfa may never come back to the US....but some of you have spotted them on the street, and Fiat has just announced the first 86 US dealers to become Alfa dealers.

Tacoma might be a lot further than where the car is now, lol.
I´m semi retired and spend a few months a year in Europe and the spider WAS supposed to be my fun/summer drive while i´m on "vacation"

I´ve seen the level of work around here and it is, frankly appalling. I don´t mean to generalize but i just haven´t found anyone yet who i can trust.

It´s been a while since i´ve been on the alfabb, but there might be a few locals who might be able to point me in the right direction though.

Have you seen this? It´s too pricey but makes me forget about owning a 328

The 4C is what Alfa needed to bring credibility back to the brand. They´ve too long been the butt of jokes and it doesn´t surprise me. The 75(Milano) was the last true Alfa and everything in between have been a disappointment.

Fiat jumped on to the retro bandwagon with the 500 and had a runaway hit (even in the NA market which usually shuns subcompacts) while completely ignoring Alfa, a brand with a rich heritage and many retro cues to pull from.

I do hope the 4C, while out of the reach of many, will mark the return to form of the brand.

1948 6C 2500 Supersport long wheelbase, re-bodied by Colli in Milan.

I've never seen pictures of this car. Has maybe a little Jag in the back end.

Just imagine - by 1955, they were building little Giulietta sedans with 1100s and 1300s.

I'd drive one. You can show up in a Rolls, or you can show up in this. I'll take this any day of the week. There are cars with class, and then there are cars with class, this would be the latter.

Here's a Sprint restoration project like yours. Nose has similar issues.

This guy has a very good reputation, has brought several very nice Supers in to the US.

It's a '75, but back-dated exterior details, similar to what people are doing with 911s.

Haha, that is a rare 1600 powered sprint. Different dash in a 101 body. The nose on that is in great shape compared to mine. I have far less rust on my car however.

This restoration is closer to the front end damage Im dealing with.

I still have much less rust to deal with even though it sat in a dirt floored barn for a few decades. I so wish I had the $$$$ to send it off to a body guy to get the nose straightened out. Really that is about all the bodywork it needs aside from part of the trunk floor being replaced.

If I haven't posted this before (I cant remember if I have or not) here is my mess. https://www.facebook.com/will.campbe...0090650&type=3
