Report on first drive of new Giulia sedan:

" There’s driver involvement, dynamic excellence and really remarkably fast yet intuitive steering. The combination is truly terrific. The driver is going to be grinning, and that driver is also sitting low down in a very comfortable position in the Alcantara/leather sports seat behind the three-spoke wheel."

Here's a car like Will's with similar nose issues and will need major rust surgery.

He found a guy to make him a new nose. That can't be cheap.

I was just looking at that build. Part of me wants to know how much that new nose was, and part of me doesn't. At least I don't have as much rust on my car as this guy does. Overall, my car is in much better shape.

In other news, I got to see first hand what an Alfa 4C could do at an autocross. I can't say I'm impressed. I blew its doors off by seconds in the M3. (to be fair, I had 3rd fastest time of the day, and was less than 1 second off TTOD.)

My brain tells me that shape was designed and built by Touring. When you see great design, it just stands out from the ordinary, doesn't it?

EDIT - some info on Touring..

A lot of their stuff was spectacular, but like anyone there're are some clunkers in there.

They developed a technique called "superlight" which was a way to fabricate the body skin with a lightweight framework underneath. Made them in demand for sports cars.

                          Now that's an introduction!

"Italian premier Matteo Renzi presents the new Giulia in Italy at his official residence Palazzo Chigi in Rome, alongside Elkann and Marchionne.

He comments (in Italian) that 28th may 2016 is the date, confirmed on stage by Marchionne of the offical deliveries of vehicles to clients in Italy, and then refers to the the team who designed/made possible the Alfa Romeo Giulia as "skunks" (puzzole) in Modena....from the US expression "skunkworks" which sounds cute in Italian!"

The President of the US does not introduce the new Jeep Cherokee.

it could be that you are a really good driver and the 4c's owner had it on the track for the first time.

i had an overnight in san francisco about a month ago. i stopped at the burlingame fiat and sat in a couple 4c's. those dick bags wouldn't let anyone take them out for a test drive. they said the only people that get to drive them are those that pay up front. wtf?

a couple weeks ago, a 4c passed me down town when we were driving the 135i. i have to say i was not too impressed with the exhaust note.
