good thing i quit cause my new girlfriend/now wife would never have considered dating me if i was a smoker, and she's the best thing to ever happen to me

My grandpa died two months before I, his first grandchild, was born. Not entirely sure how he died to be honest, but he was 58, and an alcoholic chain smoker...pretty sure those two had something to do with it.

I absolutely Detest people who smoke near me, or smoke and then WALK near me, or...you get the idea. I can't stand the idea of it anymore at all.

It is. Nothing like a fag after 3-4 hours without one. But smoking a pack a day you can feel your lungs feeling heavy. I hated that feeling and I felt miserable cause of it. My personaity is also improving. My attention span is increasing too. I used to play basketball on a team from 4th grade til I was a freshman and was pretty damn god at it. I played basketball for the first time in years today and it bea my ass to the ground ha.

I quit on Valentines day when I was 21 years old. I'm 26 now. I probably started smoking when I was 13-14. I quit cold turkey... the first week is shit, the second gets better but you're still somewhat of a pissed off wreck, but by the end of the 3rd week the smell of cigarettes starts to stink like hell. You feel soooo much better and much better about yourself and you start wondering why the hell you were smoking in the first place. That said, I do enjoy a good cigar every now and again, but that's a completely different thing. Goodluck to you sir!

fuuuuuuug i need to quit, pack a day now. smoked from 17-20 then picked it back up from 23 to 26 now ughh. That fucking urge after like 3 hours is insane and i really don't to do the chantix stuff as i know i'll lose my mind.

Chantix made me have crazy ass dreams. And I just slowly weaned first til I was down to 5-10 a day. Then I quit cold turkey.
