Dont go to the marina for dinner. Fucking time share bandits. Go to old town and eat in little shithole places with the locals. Get on a bus and go to mismalloya. spend a day there on the beach and they will take good care of you. I ride the buses everywhere down there. People are awesome and its totally safe if you are wise. The blue shrimp is expensive but a must if you love shrimp. Go there once. I have lists of all my favorite restaurants. Im glad to share some but they may not be what you like. I like local places. Ive been going there for 20 years.

Thanks, ya share a few because we're not doing all inclusive. Just talked to the time share place and we're staying at The Grand Bliss in Nuevo Vallarta. Only like a 10-15 min cab ride to downtown PV.

I went to PV long ago and remember a few cool things.

They filmed Predator in the hills up behind the city and you can still go tour the old set. They left a couple of crashed Hueys and there's a restaurant and natural river rock slide that are pretty cool. The old town area has some gorgeous old churches and colonial buildings. If you want to get away to a quiet, secluded beach take a shuttle boat across the bay to Yalapa, its a tiny town with no roads and a wonderful setting.

Thanks, the dune buggy tour I'm going to be doing actually go to the set and the river rock slide, then stop at a tequila distillery, I'm stoked for that.

I will agree with this with ONE exception. There is one restaurant in the Marina that is an absolute MUST. Rincon de Argentina ...... Order the Tenderloin for 2. You will not be disappointed!

Downtown is definitely worth the cab ride. It's a neat little town. As Steve said PV is VERY safe and the people are very friendly. I've been several times in the last three years and have nothing but good things to say.

That's in Mazatlan, PV is fairly safe from what I've read.
