I got a couple suits and have been wearing them since I was a kid. General word of advice, keep moving until you see something you actually like and for a decent price because as said before, there are always good deals out there.

I have a couple suits but only wear them a few times a year. Unless I have a really important meeting or social event, I prefer a blazer with jeans or slacks. Just remember you do not look baller in an ill fitting suit, get it fitted. I also think current trends matter more with suits than your other attire, you don't want to walk into a meeting looking like you pulled your daddy's suit out of his closet.

I frequent Macy's and Nordstrom for suits, personal tailor as well. GQ.com will shed light on to current trends and do's and do nots. It's actually a complex world.

Men's Warehouse is always have 50-60% off sales. I usually try to go shop there online since I know my sizes. Get two suits for 200 bucks(buy 1 get one free) & go to my local tailor for an extra 15 bucks a pop. I'll never spend more than $150 on tailored suit bc that's all that's really needed here in the states. Also, I support cuff link shirts. They cheaper to tailor and I find they're much more comfortable around the wrist. I buy my blazers(and ties) on eBay from china, but I'm 5'10" 145 lbs with a : 45" shoulder, 39" torso, 31" waist, 25.6" arm length. Their sizes fit me damn near perfect. Here's the last suit I bought for a wedding in October.

                    word of advice
i've worn suits all my working career.
if you're going to wear them for your career, and you're weight is stable, buy quality. i've been the same weight +/- 5 lbs forever and the suits i bought 20years ago still look great

I get mine via a Hong Kong tailor. They aren't the cheapest, but he nice thing is that they actually travel around the US, so I don't necessarily need to be in HK if I want to e remeasured.

And yes, Joseph A. banks is absolutely unwearable shit. Brooks Brothers represents an absolute minimum standard if you want to look decent. (Although BB also has some genuinely nice stuff.). Sadly, I just can't really swing Brioni. It fits me well.

Mens Warehouse is like a 3 day lead time for tailoring. I usually get Calvin Klein at Macys.
Ma che cazzo state dicendo? :|

Going to Korea at the end of the month and plan on having 2-3 suits made. Cost around $300 but fit like a glove. Here in Japan is the same if you know where to go and are willing to pay for bespoke tailoring.

Im big on blazers and jeans and slacks. Dress clothes/really nice button down shirts are a guilty pleasure of mine. Brooks brothers slim fit shirts fucking rock, at ~75-$125 each i can only buy so many, but i do love them haha. As for suits, Jos A. Bank is bullshit, so is mens warehouse. Like everyone else here has said, pay more and get it fitted. Well worth it to look like a professional than like you bought the first thing that was kind-of your size and on sale.
