Yeah man it's a fantastic show, great art, story, characters, and the music is top notch!
Enjoy the ride, the story is deep with symbolism and meaning: IMO one of the best animes out there.
As for me, I've started working my way through naruto. finished the first part and I'm now on shippuden. Used to find the show pretty annoying but I've learned to not take things so seriously and enjoy the ride: and it's been worth it.
Also watching neon genesis evangelion and liking it so far.

I started watching Samurai Champloo this past weekend on the advice of a lady friend. Only gave it a bother because she's cute, but I got about 4 episodes in and loved each one... I'll probably finish the series.Leave a comment:

Anyone else here watched Monster? I've been watching an episode here or there in my free time, though I don't have much as of late, I'm about a third of the way through. I'm enjoying and recommending it.Leave a comment:

ive just realized i want an anime where their is very little personal story, but lots of invented cool stuff that are usually in animes, like give me a story about how the world went to shit in detail, or how were the jump jets designed!:hitler:Leave a comment:

Might be a little late to the party here, but I just finished Attack on Titan, that was pretty fucking awesome. Well, first season, anyway. Hopefully Netflix gets season 2 soon.
I'm going to start DeathNote this weekend, this guy at work keeps raving about it.Leave a comment:

So I started watching Soul Eater and DuRaRaRa!! as of late.
Soul Eater is surprisingly good. I was expecting it to be along the lines of One Piece, and I was pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed One Piece as well, but it started losing my attention in the later episodes.Leave a comment:

My favorite anime by far. The tone, writing, art style, music, and characters are all in sync and the product is a wonderful journey. My only complaint is that the final episodes get just a tad bit over the top, but it is tiny compared to the beauty of the work as a whole.
Also I'm fairly new to this and the anime I've watched so far have had very little"fanservice" to them so I guess I haven't been desensitized yet lol. Just finished gargantia today and it was a good series. Would recommend esp if you are into futurology or anything similar. wish they would've developed the love interest more between the two main characters, but beggars can't be choosers.
Also I quite liked sword art online as well. They pace the story very well and draw you in from the very beginning. The whole dynamic with his sister was kind of weird, but I can see that they were kind of exploring how people would react in that kind of world/situation...plus it's japan so there's always bound to be a little weirdness.
Late to the party I know,
But I loved Champloo. As far as the "weird bits" at the end, it states before each of those episodes that the episode is a "Samurai Champloo Period Drama." It was just there as entertainment filler.
Sword Art Online? I liked it, at first. After a while, even before the incest, it just was too preteen, do you love me, girly. For no reason. It's like making a wife when you played Legos as a kid.
I am watching Mushi-Shi at the moment and find it to be quite poignant. Great little vignettes.Leave a comment:

"Naruto Shippuuden" anime is still airing, Guy has recently become the red beast, but it should be over soon. The "Naruto: The Boruto movie" comes out August 8th. I think that will be the official end as everything is pointing to Naruto being killed in the movie protecting his son.Leave a comment:
