"Naruto Shippuuden" anime is still airing, Guy has recently become the red beast, but it should be over soon. The "Naruto: The Boruto movie" comes out August 8th. I think that will be the official end as everything is pointing to Naruto being killed in the movie protecting his son.

    My opinion on it:

Who ever recommends Boku needs to burn in hell.

Yeah it's a silly show. The pace really takes off during the last phase of the chunin exam. also there's a lot of "filler episodes"(that way the show doesnt catch up to the manga too quickly) I don't mind them too much myself but if you skip them, it moves the story along a bit quicker.

And having watched a couple of shippuden episodes, yes it's a bit more serious i.e. naruto isn't as much of an idiot anymore haha.

And before anyone asks, yes. I watched Boku No Pico. I was disgusted by it, but if I watch something, I have to watch it to the very end before I have a concrete opinion on it. Definitely not something I would ever recommend to anyone ever, given the subject matter. *Shudders*

That, and if you're like me and don't want to have to wait for the anime to catch up to the manga, you can just read the manga!

I agree that the manga is mostly better. But not all are based off of manga. A lot are based of light novels. And some are completely original stories. There are also some that are remakes of classic stories or legends.

I just finished "Akatsuki No Yona". I liked it a lot. It was just getting good and then it ended. I found out it is based off of a manga that is 17 volumes and still going. So I will probably be reading that in the near future. And hoping for a second season.

My favorite anime by far. The tone, writing, art style, music, and characters are all in sync and the product is a wonderful journey. My only complaint is that the final episodes get just a tad bit over the top, but it is tiny compared to the beauty of the work as a whole.

Also I'm fairly new to this and the anime I've watched so far have had very little"fanservice" to them so I guess I haven't been desensitized yet lol. Just finished gargantia today and it was a good series. Would recommend esp if you are into futurology or anything similar. wish they would've developed the love interest more between the two main characters, but beggars can't be choosers.

Also I quite liked sword art online as well. They pace the story very well and draw you in from the very beginning. The whole dynamic with his sister was kind of weird, but I can see that they were kind of exploring how people would react in that kind of world/situation...plus it's japan so there's always bound to be a little weirdness.
