I thought Boku was gonna be some cutesy slice of life stuff when a friend recommended it, but boy was I wrong. Scarred, lol.
Back on topic, I'd really recommend Nichijou for anyone who loves slice of life stories with absurd humor. The characters are extremely likeable, funny and it's a little more down to earth than similar animes I've watched. As much as I like manga/animes with shittons of action and convoluted plots, it's a nice refresher.

"Samurai Champloo" was good. It had good characters and story. I enjoyed the art and music.
"Nichijou" I have not watched yet. It is not really the type of anime I watch though. But I might give it a chance one day. If there is nothing else I have to watch at the time.
As for the rest of what you posted, I had to look it up. And you are entitled to watch what ever you want but that is not really relevant to this thread.Leave a comment:

What's the consensus here on Samurai Champloo? I've picked it up after finishing Boku No Pico and Nichijou.
And before anyone asks, yes. I watched Boku No Pico. I was disgusted by it, but if I watch something, I have to watch it to the very end before I have a concrete opinion on it. Definitely not something I would ever recommend to anyone ever, given the subject matter. *Shudders*Last edited by UlrichFennec; 06-05-2015, 07:37 PM.Leave a comment:

"Grappler Baki" is good but I don't know about the best ever.
I really like the "Sword Art Online" series. I thought the second season was really good too. But I think I might like "Log Horizon" a little better. Something to check out is you like "Sword Art Online".Leave a comment:

Finished cowboy bebop and liked it, but the ending felt a bit abrupt.
Now working my way through fullmetal brotherhood. First impressions: It seems to have more cutesy anime tropes and a different tone to the original, but I hear the overall story is a bit better since it follows the manga.
Also watching "Gargantia on the verderous planet" because it has a cool premise. I like the art style and the story is pretty good, but there's a lot of fanservice and other stuff that I can tell are aimed squarely at pleasing otakus. It just makes me kind of roll my eyes from time to time. Not too bad though.
"Full Meal Alchemist, Brotherhood" was definitely the better of the two "Full Metal Alchemist" anime, in my opinion. I thought the ending was really good.
I liked "Suisei no Gargantia", it had a good plot and I didn't think it had too much fan service. I think I talked about it at some point in this thread.Leave a comment:
