My sister's friend told me about "Space Dandy", after the description I was no longer interested in it.

"Desert Punk" did not seem appealing to me when it came out. Hearing that it is similar to "Trigun" peaks my interest. I will have to look into it.

Speaking of old stuff we're behind on... how's everyone feel about Space Dandy? I mean - like everyone I love Bebop and Champloo, but I had a hard time really caring about Dandy very much. Wonder what the simulcast numbers were like - cos I think that part is awesome - I would love for everything to get released like that.

I have to disagree on the first statement. The first anime that popped in my head was "No Game, No Life". But there were a few other good ones. What was the official anime of the year? I never did read that anywhere.

I enjoyed "Wangan Midnight", it has been out for a while though.

I realized that I am pretty far behind on "Naruto Shippuuden"(369) current episode out is 396, so that is the next anime I am going to watch.

When I started getting back into anime, Kill La Kill just aired its first 3 episodes
I started watching it and it blew me away. The amount of reception it got all over the world, the fan service. People getting fined for public nudity. It was my first time seeing this type of reception from an anime I thought it was amazing.

I think it was Attack on Titan? I never really got into AOT...

I've seen a lot of No Game, No Life stuff on tumblr I'll give it a go once I finish up my current batch.

LOL FAR BEHIND. I gave up on Naruto a long time ago I probably had a 90% better chance of catching up years ago than I do now lol it's gotten out of hand.

Did anyone stick it out and finish "Texhnolyze"? I hope that even though I gave a warning about the anime it doesn't affect my credibility on recommendations.

I am currently watching "Bokura Ga Ita", it is a school life drama, it has some funny moments. It is pretty good but I haven't finished it yet.

The bad thing is I know it is going to have me amped to watched the movie and it won't be available to watch in the states until the end of February(2015). I wish I could find a good English translated cam copy.

Kill la Kill is always straddling the line of being commentary on pervy anime, and just being pervy anime. Still, I really liked it. It's funny and weird, but good, too. I found it more interesting than Gurren Lagann, cos of all the added weirdness and subtext.

It was an amazing anime but I guess some people were put off by the super ecchi nature of it. They missed out for sure. Should have been anime of the year tho it was that good.

Anyone else watch Wangan Midnight? I'm feeling it, cause its totally different from Initial D (still on first stage). It feels a lot deeper because it gets into the drivers lives and how they had to struggle to build their cars and why the race.

I found a cam version of "The Last Naruto the Movie". It is Spanish subs so if you can read Spanish, I hate you but enjoy the movie. I am not desperate enough to watch this yet because my Japanese isn't good enough and they speak way to fast for me sometimes plus I don't know Spanish, so I would not be able to really enjoy it. If I find a better one or when this one gets English subs I will post it up here. Please reciprocate this courtesy.

Here's a subbed version of the new initial-d movie that just came out.

They're condensing the series into a trilogy of movies. Obviously, there's a lot they have to skip over, but I really like the feel of the movie a lot better: great engine sounds and audio and fantastic animation. They do a good job of pacing also, but did have to re-work some things too. Also no eurobeat :[

Finished Psycho Pass, didn't know they had an "extended version" of season one. All in all it was pretty good and interesting. I can't wait to start on season 2 and the movie coming out soon!
