I don't go back that far, but close. I signed up for the BMW digest probably late '96, right around the time I got my vert.

WTF digest you ask? Well back then you'd subscribe your email address and it would spit out a batch of comments/replies to your inbox when it got around 10 or 15. Obviously, quoting was critical because it was all just jumbled together instead of separate threads. Good ol' days.

Not like I'm such an old bastard though, 34 now.

There was no search button, a lot of time people will just repeat the information, or they just tell you its impossible, keyboard warriors have been the same since the beginning.

You mean mailing list? I was part of mailing list before EZboard came around, sometimes I kinda gave up cause it took me hours to retrace the specific emails that were reply to my questions.

1994, I started college and had a ripping-fast 486sx, 25mhz, with a 100mb HDD running on the fresh and new Windows 3.1! Even had a 3.5 floppy drive AND a 5.25 just in case I wanted to run "old" software. AOL floppies came in the mail every week, 28k modem, BBS is all we had up until AOL haha.

Hmm, learned BASIC and PASCAL, had that PC on lay away for about 6mos, $2k was a lot for a fresh high school grad.

1994 was right around the time I first encountered the interwebs. Started doing the forum thing in like 02 when I got into cars.
